BROOKLYN - Cab drivers in Brooklyn say they are concerned about being assaulted by passengers.

Livery cab driver Ishmael Kabre says he was attacked by a couple in his cab last week, causing him to spend a night in the hospital.

"This is New York and this is Brooklyn. You know that's a high crime city and being a cab driver over here, it's just like you're at risk any time," he says.

Police say the male suspect is in his 20s, and he was last seen wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt and a black jacket. The female suspect was also described in her 20s.

There were other cab driver assaults reported in Brooklyn last year.  In June, driver Orji-Ama Uro was killed after being stabbed in the eye with an umbrella.
