BROOKLYN - A cab driver thought to be missing by his family was found in jail Sunday.

Police say Victor Ovalles was arrested for pulling a knife on another man during one of his driving shifts. According to authorities, Ovalles stopped to help a stranded driver jump his car, but then demanded $10. When the man could only pay him $5, police say Ovalles pulled a knife on him.

Fernando Mateo, of the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers, says Ovalles wasn?t a licensed taxi driver and had a prior criminal record. Mateo has requested the Taxi and Limousine Commission investigate the company that hired Ovalles.
