BROOKLYN - A café has opened in the Brooklyn Public Library's central branch to provide mid-reading snacks.

A library spokesperson says the full café was opened to draw in new readers that may have forsaken libraries for digital books.

The new café will be open during library hours every day except for Sunday.

The café will offer foods like soup, sandwiches and homemade pies.
