Cameron to give out 'Avatar Award' in BK

BROOKLYN - Oscar-winning filmmaker James Cameron visited Brooklyn Technical High School to deliver the "Avatar Award" to the most environmentally conscious student.

Cameron, accompanied by his wife and "Avatar" actress Sigourney Weaver, welcomed Brooklyn Tech students to the first-ever Eco-Warrior Public Speaking Competition.

Each of the finalists in the competition will deliver a brief speech based on themes drawn from the movie "Avatar." The winner will be honored as an eco-warrior and receive $12,000 in scholarship money.
