CANARSIE - A Canarsie dance team is raising money to fund their trip to Disney World to take part in the Dance World Championships.

The Blackout All-Star Dance Team won a bid to the contest after placing well at the National Dance Competition in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The six dancers need $11,000 to travel to Disney World and compete. They've been busy fundraising with a pajama movie party and have sold everything from candy to raffle tickets for the Broadway musical Chicago. So far, the team is halfway to their goal.

The Empire All-Stars are also hosting master dance classes on April 21 with all the money going to the dance team.
