FLATLANDS - A car careened out of control this morning on Flatbush Avenue in Flatlands, injuring two bystanders and damaging businesses for half a block.

Gerard Huges, a witness, says he believes the driver of the BMV SUV lost control of the car trying to get around traffic. The driver, stayed on the scene after the accident occurred, and told News 12 off camera that he lost control of his brakes and skidded into another car causing him to shoot down the sidewalk.

Witnesses say that the two women who were hurt were in their late 20s to early 30s and were bleeding pretty baldly. They were taken to Kings County Hospital.
