ALBANY - (AP) - The New York State Board for HistoricPreservation has recommended 22 properties to the State andNational Registers of Historic Places.

The sites include a rare pre-fabricated aluminum house inRochester, a synagogue known as the "Carnegie Hall of Brooklyn,"a hot dog stand, and a Spanish-American War monument.

Historic Register listing can help property owners inrevitalizing the structures, making them eligible for variouspublic preservation programs, grants, and tax credits.

There are approximately 90,000 historic buildings, structuresand sites throughout the state listed on the National Register ofHistoric Places, individually or as components of historicdistricts.
