Cars vandalized over Christmas in Brighton Beach

Residents say more than a dozen vehicles were vandalized and robbed. (12/26/13)

BRIGHTON BEACH - Several cars were reported vandalized in Brighton Beach over Christmas.

Police say they got three official complaints from victims, but residents along Brighton Beach Avenue say more than a dozen cars had their windows smashed and were broken into.

One victim says this was the sixth time this has happened to her in the last three years in Brighton Beach.

Another resident told News 12 Brooklyn that it's going to cost him $700 to fix the damage to his car.

Police are encouraging all victims to come forward and file a report.
