BROOKLYN - Members of the Caribbean American Sports and Culture Youth Movement (CASYM) are tuning up for their biggest weekend of the year.

The CASYM orchestra has been playing steel drum music in the Panorama Competition and the Labor Day Parade for the last 20 years, and this holiday weekend is no different.

Musicians as young as 6 years old have been glued to their drum sticks this month while rehearsing for the annual cultural events.

The rhythmic competition is Saturday at the Brooklyn Museum, and will be followed by the parade on Monday, Sept. 2.
