BROOKLYN - The medical examiner is working to determine the cause of death for a missing 14-year-old girl who was found dead on Sunday.

According to police sources, Shaniesha Forbes was reported missing from her East Flatbush home last Friday. She was discovered on Gerritsen Beach with no clear signs of trauma, but investigators say her body was burned.

A landlord for the family says that they had just moved in last month.

The medical examiner has not been able to determine exactly how the girl died. More tests are being performed, and investigators expect to have more conclusive results next week.
