BROOKLYN - Celebrate Brooklyn kicked off a summer of free concerts with a gala performance in Prospect Park.

The inaugural performance was by Grammy-winning artist Norah Jones. The arts festival celebrates its 32nd year and continues until Aug. 8.

Attendees said the wet weather did not dampen their spirits and they plan to attend many more concerts through the summer.
