Chamber of Commerce: BK job growth outpaces other boroughs

BROOKLYN - Despite an abysmal economy, Brooklyn's private sector has outpaced all of the other boroughs in job growth.

The borough added 7,600 jobs in 2010 and the head of the Chamber of Commerce says Brooklyn will most likely oust Queens as the outer borough with the most jobs by year?s end.

According to the New York State Department of Labor, health care assistance, education, retail and accommodations and food services are the fields with the most job growth in Brooklyn.
