Change of command ceremony held in Iraq

(09/01/10) BROOKLYN - A change of command ceremony held in Iraq today marked the formal end to U.S. combat operations in the country.

As part of the ceremony, U.S. military leaders passed a flag to the incoming commander to signify the transition. The changes come after more than seven years of American military operations in Iraq.

Vice President Joe Biden attended the ceremony and said although the U.S. combat role is over, the U.S. mission in Iraq is not.
