BROOKLYN - A car struck and killed a 9-year-old boy in Williamsburg Saturday morning, police say.

According to authorities, the 54-year-old driver of a Honda Accord was making a turn onto Wallabout Street at around 8 a.m. when she plowed into the child. Police say it appears the 9-year-old may have run into traffic. He was taken to Brooklyn Hospital, where he later died.

Investigators say the driver of the car had a suspended license. She was taken into questioning, and she is expected to face charges in connection with the accident.
