BROOKLYN - Several Brooklyn children are being honored for their participation in the ?We Are America? project.

The project is an initiative by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. It asks children across the country to create images depicting their interpretation of why immigration makes America great.

Children can still enter artwork in the project. The submission deadline is Aug. 30.
