BROOKLYN - Children across the borough took part in Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

The international program teaches children the importance of working hard to earn a living.

The program also allows children to see various career choices.

Borough Hall was overrun with employee's children today, all doing their parent's jobs.

Dakota James took over for her mother today, managing Borough President Eric Adams' schedule. Adams says the experience gives children the opportunity to see that their parents have responsibilities outside of being a parent, and that they too will one day have similar commitments.

Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is in its 21st year.
