BROOKLYN - Council speaker and mayoral candidate Christine Quinn campaigned at two Brooklyn senior centers in an effort to increase her current lead in the polls.

Quinn told potential voters at Raices Times Plaza in downtown Brooklyn that she wants to expand the rent cap for seniors.

She leads all other candidates with 27 percent of those surveyed willing to vote for her, according to the latest Quinnipiac poll. Quinn is followed by Public Advocate Bill de Blasio and former City Comptroller Bill Thompson. Former Congressman Anthony Weiner is in fourth after revelations related to his latest sexting scandal.

Primary elections will be held on Sept. 10.
