BROOKLYN - Some Brooklyn residents are banding together in the name of books to try and prevent a Cadman Plaza library from moving.

Brooklyn Public Library officials want to move a library branch in Brooklyn Heights to the central library at Grand Army Plaza so that they can sell the building.

Neighbors formed the group Citizens Defending Libraries and have already collected nearly 9,000 signatures. They say the library has been in their neighborhood since 1962 and that's where they want it to stay.
