City bus service partially restored after storm

(AP) - Some New York City buses have begun runningagain since a storm that dumped a foot and a half of snow on theregion suspended

NEW YORK - (AP) - Some New York City buses have begun runningagain since a storm that dumped a foot and a half of snow on theregion suspended service.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says dozens of busroutes in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan have been partiallyrestored. Service was suspended after midnight Thursday because ofthe storm.

The MTA says buses will begin running on all roads as soon asthey are cleared and safe.

City subways are also running again with delays. Service hadbeen suspended on some above-ground sections of lines in outerboroughs, including the Q line.

The Staten Island Ferry is running every half-hour.
