BROOKLYN - The city gave a behind-the-scenes tour of the Atlantic Yards construction site in Downtown Brooklyn today.

The Department of Buildings says it wants to highlight safety measures taken during construction as part of a citywide campaign to encourage workers to use proper fall protection.

The all-access tour also gave an updated look into the progress of the new Barclays Center. The arena, which will be the home of the New Jersey Nets, has received 33 construction violations since work began in 2007.

The tour is part of the city's seventh annual construction safety week.
