BROOKLYN - New York City saw a record number of tourists in 2010, with 15 million people visiting or staying in Brooklyn.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg was in Brooklyn today to announce that 48.7 million people visited the city, an increase of nearly 7 percent compared to 2009.

The top attractions in the borough included Brooklyn parks and boutiques showcasing local designers.
