City starts clearing downed Marine Park trees

BROOKLYN - The city's Department of Parks says it's working to remove more than 50 Marine Park trees that were toppled during a severe storm a few weeks ago.

Workers are using chain saws to cut down huge tree trunks that were no match for the strong winds and heavy rains that swept though Brooklyn.

The city says it eventually plans to replace all the downed trees.
