NEW YORK CITY - New York City will remain on high alert through the Jewish High Holy Days.

NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly says there is no specific threat linked to the Jewish holidays, but as a precaution patrols will be increased in Jewish neighborhoods and at synagogues.

Rosh Hashanah begins Sept. 28.
