Civilian Complaint Review Board: Brooklyn has most NYPD complaints

Most complaints filed were about stop-and-frisk and excessive use of force. (5/16/14)

BROOKLYN - A new report shows that Brooklyn has the highest number of complaints about NYPD officers overstepping their authority.

According to the Civilian Complaint Review Board, the biggest issues include stop-and-frisk and excessive use of force. 

It says Brooklyn received 73 total complaints, followed by the Bronx with 40 cases.

When broken down by precincts within the borough, the 75th Precinct had the most open complaints with more than 8 percent. The 73rd Precinct was second with more than 4 percent.
