Cleanup under way from storm damage in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN - Cleanup is officially under way in Brooklyn after a severe storm rocked the borough.

Crews are out clearing downed trees and power lines. Con Edison is reporting there are more than 1,000 customers without power and restoration time is 8 p.m.

Residents say they have never seen a storm like yesterday?s in Brooklyn. The storm began during the evening commute yesterday.

The National Weather Service had briefly issued a tornado warning for the borough after 5 p.m. yesterday.
