BROOKLYN - Clinton Hill residents may be forced to rely on mobile postal units while the building of the local post office is being repaired.

The United States Postal Service says it appears the middle of the floor at the Pratt Station Post Office on Myrtle Avenue is buckling, raising the possibility of a temporary closure.

"We anticipate receiving more detailed information on the structural problem by the end of the week," the United States Postal Service said in a statement.

A postcard will be sent to the 16,000 people who use the Pratt Station location, notifying them of a potential closure that could last four to six weeks.
