CLINTON HILL - A Clinton Hill church is set to begin rebuilding following a Christmas fire.
The Church of Saint Luke and Matthew sustained $2 million in structural and smoke damage from the fire. The church's priest says renovations are set to begin following today's Easter services and will continue throughout the summer.
Funding for the renovations will come from insurance, and the church plans to hold fundraiser to pay for the rest. In the meantime, services will take place in the parish hall.
According to the Fort Greene Patch, firefighters recovered four gas cans from the church and labeled the fire suspicious.
