Colleagues remember slain NYPD officer

PARK SLOPE - Friends and colleagues of Peter Figoski are reflecting on the life of the NYPD officer who was killed this morning in Brooklyn. Figoski, a 22-year veteran of the force, was fatally shot during an apartment robbery at 25 Pine St. in Cypress Hills. Friends say he made more than 200 arrests during his career, and was awarded eight medals for exceptional police duty. He worked at the 75th Precinct in East New York, and came from a family of policemen. He leaves behind four daughters. Police have arrested Lamont Pride, 27, of Greensboro, N.C. as a suspect in his death. COP SHOT, an organization that helps lead to the arrests of police shooting suspects, is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the alleged accomplice.NYPD officer shot, killed in Brooklyn
