BROOKLYN - NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly says in addition to the federal government, the NYPD also has the ability to protect the city from any future terrorist attacks.

In the interview with CBS' '60 Minutes,' Kelly said the NYPD has the ability to react to any situation. This included extreme scenarios such as taking down a hijacked plane, which Kelly says the NYPD has the equipment and training to pull off.
