BROOKLYN - Community Board 6 has voted in favor of New York Methodist Hospital’s controversial expansion plan, bringing it one step closer to a reality.
The hospital wants to build a facility on Eighth Avenue in Park Slope that would include cancer and urgent care centers.
Many local residents have fought the proposal, arguing that it would destroy hospital-owned brownstones, which they say are historic to the neighborhood.
