BUSHWICK - Community leaders are demanding action after a gunman opened fire on a crowd near a Bushwick playground, injuring five.
"When are we gonna get the message that it's not cool to use these guns in our community?" asked community leader Tony Herbert at a gathering near the site of the shooting this morning.
Community leaders and residents are calling for stricter gun laws and are urging those who witness crimes to come forward with any information.

The five people, who were shot at the corner of Menahan Street and Knickerbocker Avenue near Hope Ball Field, are all related. All are expected to be OK.
