BROOKLYN - After the violent arrest of a Brooklyn man was caught on camera inside a Flatbush Target store, community leaders say that the NYPD needs to stop civilian abuse.

On July 25, 23-year-old Alando Brisset was caught on camera in what appeared to be a beating by several police officers inside a Target store after allegedly getting into a dispute over a receipt.

Customers can be heard in the video yelling for police to stop as they punch Brissett while he is on the ground.

Brissett was charged with trespassing, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration.

Brisset has been released from jail, and his family says that he is seriously injured after the arrest.

Community leaders say that this kind of police violence is happening way too often and that something needs to be done to stop it.
