BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - Local leaders and the Bed-Stuy community came together yesterday to fight violence against women.

The rally comes on the heels of an assault last week on a Parks Department employee at the St. Andrew's playground. Police say the incident happened during the day. No witnesses have come forward.

Local leaders hope the rally will not only help solve the case, but demonstrate that violent crimes against women will not be tolerated.
