EAST NEW YORK - Local leaders in East New York were out Thursday trying to raise awareness about the case of a missing 7-year-old boy who went missing last week.

Patrick Alford, who disappeared from his foster home in Starrett City, was last seen helping his foster mother take out the trash at their apartment on Vidalia Avenue.

"For a child, everyone should come together at a moment like this and do their best, even if it's just handing out fliers, asking around,? says Enrique Garcia, of East New York.

Police are asking anyone with information about the boy?s disappearance to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
