BROOKLYN - Commuters are bracing for some holiday traffic headaches this weekend.

To ease the holiday rush, construction on city bridges and tunnels will be put on hold until after post-Christmas rush hour Wednesday morning.

Local road work will continue as scheduled, including on 80th Street and 63rd Street, which will both shut down Saturday and Sunday.

Two Brooklyn subway stations will also be closed for the weekend. The Smith-9th Street station for the F and G lines, and the Knickerbocker station for the M train will undergo rehabilitation.
