BROOKLYN - With temperatures expected to top triple digits today, Con Edison is advising residents to try and conserve energy in their homes.

The utility company says it will deploy extra crews to handle any power emergencies, but suggests residents take measures such as cleaning air conditioner filters to help prevent outages.

Brooklyn residents who do experience power outages can reach Con Edison at 1-800-75-CONED.
