Con Ed cuts power to BK neighborhoods amid sweltering heat

BROOKLYN - Con Edison has reduced power to many Brooklyn neighborhoods as temperatures creep up toward 100 degrees. The utility says it has cut power by 5 percent to some areas because of trouble with electrical equipment due to the heat.
