Con Edison: Power restored to most BK customers

BROOKLYN - Con Edison says power has been restored to most of the 682 Brooklyn customers who went all day without power.

The outage was caused by a spike in electricity use during the heat and older wiring, according to a Con Edison spokesperson. The company had to reduce supplies to several Brooklyn neighborhoods because equipment could not handle the growing demand.

Power is expected to be fully restored to all affected areas by Wednesday, according to Con Ed.
