SUNSET PARK - Crews worked overnight and are still on scene at a broken service line in Sunset Park.

At this time, 23rd Street between 3rd and 4th avenues remains closed to traffic. Con Edison says the electrical issues started at around 11 a.m. yesterday when an underground service line broke, causing about 5,000 gallons of a type of mineral oil to spill.

No one was hurt in the incident. Con Ed says it will be there for several weeks and will work to minimize the inconvenience.
