WILLIAMSBURG - A woman is recovering at Woodhull Hospital after being rescued Thursday from a burning building in Williamsburg.

Con Edison worker Jose Morales and a firefighter ran into the Wilson Street building and revived Carmen Russo through CPR.

Morales suffered severe burns to his face and a second Con-Ed worker was also injured while helping out. He was treated for smoke inhalation and released from the hospital.

Russo?s husband, who is the super of the building, says he wants the city to officially recognize the Con Edison worker and firefighter as heroes.
