Concern voiced about bacteria level in Prospect Park lake

PROSPECT PARK - Some nature experts are speaking out, saying they are concerned that Prospect Park Lake may be contaminated.

The nature experts are raising concerns that there may be high bacteria levels in the lake because of a germ, called Cyanobacteria, that can be dangerous for both animals and humans.

The Prospect Park Alliance responded to concerns today, saying that more testing had to be done. An official with the alliance says that an increase in bacterial levels is common for a shallow lake such as Prospect Park's.
