CONEY ISLAND - A Coney Island apartment building has been without working elevators for nearly two months.

The building's elderly and disabled tenants say they feel like they're stranded in their own homes.

Tenants says the West 24th Street apartment building's elevators have been out since just before Superstorm Sandy hit. News 12 Brooklyn was told it took almost two weeks for management to put up a notice, saying they're working on resolving the issue.

It could take another eight weeks for the 19-floor building's elevators to be back up and running.
