CONEY ISLAND - The plan to rebuild and expand Coney Island is providing good news for tourists and for those currently unemployed.

Central Amusement International, the company that is expanding Coney Island's Luna Park, says it is looking to hire close to 250 people for the new amusement park. The company says many of the jobs are entry-level.

City statistics show unemployment rates in Coney Island are twice as high as the rest of the city.
