BROOKLYN - A Coney Island man who has been hailed a hero for saving a young girl's life was honored at a Cyclones game over the weekend.

Stephen St. Bernard caught 7-year-old Kayla McCree as she fell three stories from an air conditioner at her Surf Avenue home last Monday. Bernard's arm is in a cast from the catch, but that didn't stop him from throwing out the game's first pitch at MCU Park.

Bernard was also recognized with a $1,000 savings bond to be used toward his daughter's education.
