CONEY ISLAND - Forecasters are predicting a busy hurricane season and a Coney Island Home Depot held a hurricane preparation workshop to make sure homeowners are ready.

Staff members say important things to have onhand when a hurricane hits are flashlights, two-way radios, gloves and gasoline cans. Generators are also suggested.

Homeowners are advised to take all storm threats seriously. Residents who missed the workshop are also welcome to drop by the store at anytime to get preparedness tips from staff members.
