Coney Island Hospital opens farmers market to push healthy eating

CONEY ISLAND - Coney Island Hospital says it is stepping up its efforts to promote healthy eating by setting up a farmers market right outside its front doors.

For the second year in a row, Coney Island Hospital teamed up with local farmers markets to provide healthy food options to the area.

In conjunction with the farmers market, hospital officials say various departments will host community outreach events to promote healthy lifestyles.

The farmers market will be open ever Friday until November.
