CONEY ISLAND - Many Brooklyn residents celebrated the new year in Coney Island.

A digital ball dropped at the Parachute Jump at midnight during the second annual Coney Island New Year's Eve celebration.

The Thunderbolt Roller Coaster, B&B Carousel and Deno's Wonder Wheel all offered free rides during the event.

The event also featured fireworks, live music and dancing on the boardwalk.
