CONEY ISLAND - The Coney Island Polar Bears took a dip in the Atlantic Ocean Friday after a snowstorm hit the borough.

The Coney Island Polar Bears jump in to the water every time it snows and every Sunday during the winter season. Their plunges last anywhere between 10 seconds and 20 minutes.

The dozen Brooklyn residents that braved the cold today went for a leisurely float for about 5 minutes. They say they love the way it makes them feel.

The Coney Island Polar Bears have been braving the chilly weather for the past 110 years.
