BROOKLYN - Some Coney Island seniors say they've been stranded inside their apartments due to an ongoing problem with their building's elevator.

According to 72-year-old Letha Alston, she is wheelchair-bound and was stuck in her fifth-floor apartment for a week. She says the elevator broke last Thursday and was repaired on Tuesday, but was back out again by that night.

News 12 Brooklyn reached out to the management office for answers. It says it is working on the issue.
