BROOKLYN - Dozens of Coney Island residents were forced to celebrate Thanksgiving without gas or heat, which had been turned off two months ago.

Residents say the heat came back on Saturday, but they were promised to have it back before Thanksgiving.

Some residents were forced to use hotplates and neighbors' stoves to prepare their Thanksgiving dinners.

According to the Public Housing Authority, there are at least 20 people in the building that still do not have gas.
